photographic tendencies
some of you may be disappointed to hear this, but i actually fought the urge to take a photograph yesterday. my parents are getting new recliners for the living room, and yesterday i helped my mom move one of the old recliners up to the road for the garbage man. something about seeing a worn out recliner just sitting by the side of the road humored me. it was facing north, as if watching for someone to come along and take a seat. it didn't take long, it usually doesn't. within a couple of hours there was a knock at the front door. someone wanting to know if we were throwing out the recliner sitting by the side of the road. as if we might have another reason for putting it there. the fellows who stopped by had just moved into a new place and nothing to furnish it with. so they were more than willing to put down the top to their mustang and take it home with them. also humorous, but nothing that made me want to grab my camera and capture the moment.
on the other side of things, i couldn't resist taking a photo of the robin's eggs currently perched upon our porch light. it's just high enough that i can't see in - thus the little mirror i'm holding. mama bird doesn't like it much when we use our front door - but we live here, too, ya know.
