cornerstone
april and i road tripped out to bushnell for a day at cornerstone. a trip through the art gallery, a viewing of the cardboard sculpture-in-progress, a walk through the merch tent, and a couple of shows at the main stage. all in all, not a bad time. a different view of the festival than i'm used to seeing. we were on the grounds for about 6 hours, at most. we stayed in a hotel that night. and not once did we use the johnny on the spots. i did, however, secure myself a giant cherry freezie - no longer sold for a quarter. i left feeling that perhaps one does not become too old for cornerstone. even if you don't know most of the bands performing. even if you don't camp with a group of people committed to filling that kiddie pool with water, 5 gallons at a time. even if you don't have pink flamingos flanking the camp site. even if your brother isn't wearing a gas mask and playing his accordian in the street... it is always a good night to be at cornerstone.
