drinking thanksgiving dinner

do you use splenda? we've baked with it before - cookies, cakes, swirled into oatmeal - and we get along fine. but there's something strange that happens when it's used to sweeten a beverage. don't believe me? try the jones soda holiday pack. besides the fact that the sodas don't actually taste anything like foods they're supposed to imitate, they have a horrible splenda aftertaste. and who sweetens their brussel sprouts anyway?

you may be thinking "surely they can't be as bad as all that... who wouldn't love turkey & gravy soda?" but even the dog wouldn't drink it. not the brussel sprouts, not the turkey & gravy, not the wild herb stuffing, not the pumpkin pie, and not the cranberry sauce (which, compared to the others, was almost consumable). that's right, the dog will lick her own butt... but she wouldn't drink the jones soda.
